YORKTON - Sacred Heart’s welding 20 class built fire pits as their class project.
Each student had the opportunity to custom build their own fire pit via computer software adding in their names and logos.
Then the shop’s CNC plasma cutter cut out the design.
Students then welded up the project according to the given blueprint.
Once complete, the fire pits were taken to Leon’s Manufacturing where they powder coated each fire pit.
The program again sends thanks to Leon’s Manufacturing for once again donating the paint for our classes fire pits. It is great to partner with local industry.
"These students will now have a project that will last for years to come” says teacher Curtis Moen.
