PREECEVILLE - The Kelsey Ecological Society from Preeceville is continuing its fight to help restore wetlands and the environment one step at a time. Kelsey members are encouraging and inviting the public to join them in a special presentation, A Powerful Punch: Restored wetlands deliver to biodiversity and more on April 21 at the Preeceville Club 60.
The presentation features guest speakers, Aiden Bateman and Suzanne Joyce from the Ducks Unlimited Canada offices.
Aiden Bateman is a Conservation Program Specialist with Ducks Unlimited Canada's Wadena office. Bateman works with farmers and other landowners in the Touchwood Hills area to secure critical wildlife habitat while meeting farm objectives. Bateman has recently taken on the role of heading up Ducks Unlimited Canada’s Saskatchewan wetland restoration program.
Suzanne Joyce is a Communications Specialist for Ducks Unlimited Canada’s Saskatchewan operations in Regina. She has the privilege of sharing Ducks Unlimited Canada’s good news story, promoting the benefits of agricultural producer programs and informing the public about wetland values and why DUC’s conservation work in the province is important. She and her husband Peter are new members to the Kelsey Ecological Society.
