The Sturgis Read Club has been a busy centre offering numerous activities for everyone.
βCome and join us for an exercise program on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m.,β said Betty Lou Skogen. βFormerly known as Active Aging this program is geared to motivate you to be active. The emphasis is on posture, breathing, strength, balance and flexibility. The movements are easily modified to be a benefit to anyone regardless of age or physical status. The many benefits of being active are apparent in various ways both physically and mentally.β
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β John and Grace Yanchuk gave a slide presentation on their Arizona trip on November 6. The club hosted a whist tournament on November 7 with a noon lunch. The crib tournament winners for October 3 were: Larry and Betty-Lou Skogen, first place; Phyliss Fleming and Bernice Kyryluk, and Lorraine Shewchuk and Ruth Zubko, second place; and Katherine Fraser and Laura Hobbs, third. Once a month 50/50 tickets are drawn. One ticket is $2 or three tickets for $5. The October winner was Tyson Babiuk.
