SASKATOON - A preliminary hearing for a woman accused of killing a 61-year-old Milden man will be held in January 2022.
Melissa MacQueen, 42, was arrested March 5 and charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Randy Garret. His body was found in a home in Milden on March 4.
Additional charges of sexual assault and sexual interference against a child in 2019 were laid against MacQueen in Saskatoon Provincial Court in June. She is also charged with assaulting Garret a month before he died.
The Village of Milden is in Central Saskatchewan and about 111 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon.
