Twenty-four members of the Preeceville School 2016 graduation class celebrated the end of their school years on May 20 and marked the beginning of their future.Â
The quote selected for graduation was “Be a Voice, Not an Echo,â€
Members of the graduating class are: Logan Karapeta, Austin Stinson, Kane Charnstrom, Carter Desroches, Jared Lamber, Shawn Pasiechnik, Josiah Sorgen, Lexie Young, Nolan Walker, Brittany Kashuba, Cole Wiwcharuk, Nicholas Lingl, Sean Ebel, Noah Tonn, Anish Sharma, Jess Olson, Alexis Bodnar, Taylor Belesky, Nicole Bileski, Brooke Boyle, Tamara Delawski, Tamsin Vallevand, Rachel Roelens and Corianne Metherell.
The worship service was held at the Trinity United Church in Preeceville with Rev. Miles Russell giving the announcements prior to the graduates entering the church.
Graduates who participated in the service were: Nicholas Lingl, Josiah Sorgen, Taylor Belesky,
Tamsin Vallevand, Shawn Pasiechnik, Austin Stinson and Lexie Young. Pastor Brad Seppan gave the sermon.
Banquet and awards
The graduates and invited guests gathered at the Preeceville Skating Arena for the banquet which was catered by Four Season’s Catering.Â
Kaeley Neitling and Hunter Chornomitz were the emcees for the evening. Graduates and their escorts were introduced as they entered the arena.
Laura Sliva said Grace at the banquet which was attended by family members, teachers and special guests.
Graduate Alexis Bodnar gave the toast to the parents which was replied by her father James Bodnar.
Graduate Lexie Young gave the toast to the teachers which was replied by teacher Leslea Hanson.
Graduates Noah Tonn and Kane Charnstrom gave the toast to the female graduates.
Graduate Lexie Young gave the toast to the male graduates.
Graduate Corianne Metherell gave the Good Spirit School Division board representative to which was replied by Chris Balyski.
Principal Doug King recited a letter from Don Morgan, Minster of Education.
