聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The Preeceville School senior football team concluded its season after playing its final game in Watrous on October 14, but fell short with a loss of 51-31.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coaching staff included Jeremy Mattison, Bill Dodge, Doug King and Patrick Livingstone.
聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 Players were: Sean Paligan, Keegan Bilanchuk, Kelton Novak, James Dodge, Matthew Fenske, Dreyton Paul, Bo Babiuk, Jake Huska, Jessy Johnson, Spencer King, Calum Livingstone, Hayden Strand, Lee Schutte, Kole Statchuk, Jalen Bayer, Connor Novak and Hunter Chornomitz.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淲e started the game off strong with a touchdown pass from Spencer King to Bo Babiuk for a 10 yard pass,鈥 said Jeremy Mattison, discussing the Watrous game. 鈥淭he game was very back and forth with both teams taking turns scoring touchdowns.
聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 鈥淲atrous seemed to take over but in the second half we came back strong,鈥 Mattison said. 鈥淚t was a matter of running out of time. The team played hard, made constant improvements and finished the season off in great style.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淎s a team we played hard with players focused on becoming better players.
聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 鈥淲e will be losing nine senior players next season and the focus will be on the junior players moving up with a good number of returning players,鈥 he said. 鈥淭he organization wishes to express its gratitude towards the parents, families and community for their support throughout the season.
聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 鈥淔ootball is a 12-month sport with two months of actual playing,鈥 he said. 鈥淚n the end if we as an organization can impact a player鈥檚 life by making positive changes, then we have succeeded.
聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 鈥淲e focus on hard work that gives players the opportunity to become good solid community members.鈥
