Jason Matychuk, 30, of Canora, who was arrested in 2014 on charges of sexual interference with a person under the age of 16 and possession of child pornography, was back in Provincial Court in Yorkton on January 11 facing similar new charges.
           The prosecutor, Andrew Wyatt asked the court not to release Matychuk and it was agreed that he be remanded in custody until a bail hearing on February 5. He was charged with sexual assault, sexual interference with a person under the age of 16 and three counts of breach of an undertaking.
           Matychuk was first arrested in August of 2014 following an investigation by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE). While executing a warrant at Matychuk’s Canora-area residence, computer devices were ceased and the initial charges of sexual interference and possession of child pornography were laid.
           He was released from custody on various conditions including not being in the presence of children.
