Moose shot and left to waste near Herschel

Conservation officers need the public’s assistance in finding whoever is responsible for the shooting of a bull moose.

HERSCHEL — A moose has been shot and left to waste seven miles west of Herschel says a message from the Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory Network.

On Oct. 12, Kindersley Conservation Officers received information regarding a bull moose that had been shot. Officers located the moose and determined that it had been shot with a large caliber rifle. Officers believe this occurred between 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11 and 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12.

Evidence was collected at the scene and officers now need the public’s assistance in finding the responsible individual(s).
