SASKATOON – A 31-year-old Edmonton man facing an organized crime charge will have to wait two more days to find out if he will be granted bail.
A show cause hearing for Joel Roland Reed, who also goes by the name of Joel Woodburn, was held in in Saskatoon Provincial Court Tuesday but the judge reserved decision until April 14.
Reed was arrested by Kindersley RCMP Feb. 18 in a high-risk takedown at an apartment building. He was charged with armed robbery for a criminal organization in an incident Feb. 17 at a business in Eatonia. He was also charged with disguise with intent to commit an offense, pointing a firearm, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of a weapon contrary to an order.
At the time of Reed’s arrest he was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants, according to police.
The charges against Reed haven’t been proven in court.
