It was a fun, family-orientated atmosphere at the outdoor movie night at the Invermay fair grounds on August 15.

Through a combination of children’s games, bouncy castles, rides and lots of popcorn, the event was organized by Bayer CropScience to show appreciation to Canadian farmers and their families for making InVigor the leading canola seed brand, according to a spokesperson for Bayer CropScience.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of a $10,000 cheque from Bayer CropScience to assist in a number of up-grade projects of Invermay facilities. The money has been earmarked to help upgrade the Invermay Hall, the skating rink and the Invermay Agriculture Society fairgrounds.

The Invermay InVigor outdoor movie night is part of the second year of Bayer CropScience’s program, in which seven communities across the Prairies were selected for the outdoor movie night events, stated a release from Bayer CropScience.
