A Nose for News by Charlie Lovett, which is a play based on the story of Cyrano de Bergerac and was entered in the Region 4 drama festival in Yorkton March 11, earned the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute the runner-up award for Best Technical Production.

The production also earned a Spirit of the Festival award for Brayden Fatteicher who portrayed Droopy the Clown.

Shaelyn Matwijeczko was presented with a certificate of merit for lighting, while Koryssa Woloshyn, who portrayed Delores, received an award for excellence in character development and portrayal.

Kamsack and district residents may see the production on April 5 when it will be staged at a dinner theatre to be served by the Voyageurs, the group which each year takes a four-day wilderness camping and canoeing trip to northern Saskatchewan. Lasagna is on the menu, and tickets, costing $15, may be purchased from any Voyageur.

The production will be re-staged on April 6 as a dessert theatre for tickets costing $10 each.
