A Kamsack-based company, and a company with branches in Kamsack and Norquay, are again listed among the top 100 companies in the province, according to Saskatchewan Business Magazine.
In the magazine’s September issue, which featured the province’s top 100 companies of 2015, Nykolaishen Farm Equipment held the number 52 position. Last year it was in the 57th position.
Affinity Credit Union, which has branches in Kamsack and Norquay, was listed in the 42nd position, up from 48th which it had held last year.
“Saskatchewan’s Top 100 Companies is a title we take very seriously at Sunrise (Publishing),” said the story by Cassi Smith that was printed in the September issue of Saskatchewan Business Magazine.
“To us it is the culmination of all our bits, the picture made from all our pieces; it’s the sum of our parts and the package is wrapped in pride,” the story reads. “The top 100 list is our way of congratulating and acknowledging the people that make our careers, our livelihoods, possible.
“Sure the 100 businesses featured here represent companies that have been topping charts and putting up big numbers, but that’s not all. They’re also creating jobs for Saskatchewan citizens; they’re putting food on our tables (and tables around the world) and roofs over our heads. They are fuelling our economy with small businesses, big corporations, grassroots organizations and mega-mergers.
“They are strengthening our communities with volunteer programs, charities and fundraisers. Ultimately, our top 100 companies are a reflection of how strong our province is and just how far we can bounce, should we fall.”
