This story and photo appeared in The Yorkton Enterprise of October 9, 1931.
Percy Dallin had a position with the provincial government looking after neglected children, old age pensioners, and destitute widows. This was not only a daytime position as he and his wife actually cared for many who needed help in their home. The house in the photo had just then been built on a property next to the Collegiate whose address was Darlington Street and First Avenue North. According to the article, Dallins received no government grant for this extra work. They welcomed donations of garden vegetables and clothing. There is very little available history about this foster home.
