HEPBURN — Kelly Remenda was sure her eyes were playing tricks on her when she scanned her Lotto 6/49 ticket on the Lotto Spot! app and 100,000 flashed across screen. But it was no trick; the Hepburn local won $100,000 on the Dec. 25 draw.

“I was completely shocked at first,” she said while claiming her prize. “I wasn’t sure if I had actually won or if the number meant something else.”

“When I realized I had actually won I couldn’t believe it,” she continued. “I still don’t. Things like this never happen to me!”

The winner said she is going to take some time deciding what to do with her winnings.

Remenda purchased her winning ticket at Bengough Drugs Ltd., located at 100 Main St. in Bengough. She won her prize on one of the 10 Guaranteed Prize draws on Dec. 25 by matching the number selection 32428773-02.
