Early morning fire destroys Hudson Bay Avenue home

A home on Hudson Bay Avenue was destroyed by fire during the night of December 4/5. The Kamsack fire brigade was alerted to a possible structure fire at 142 Hudson Bay Saturday at 12:45 a.m., said Jim Pollock, fire chief.

            The Kamsack fire brigade was alerted to a possible structure fire at 142 Hudson Bay Saturday at 12:45 a.m., said Jim Pollock, fire chief.

            Arriving at the scene the firefighters discovered that there was a fire in the back of the house that had breached the ceiling and roof, Pollock said. To save the homes next to it, the house was brought down.

            The cause of the fire in the home which had been unoccupied at the time, is under investigation by the Kamsack RCMP and the Kamsack fire department.
