Students in Cec Machnee’s Grade 8 social studies class have been learning about the pioneers and their ingenuity to make the things they needed to survive.
Mchnee challenged the students to each make something that a pioneer might have made to survive in Saskatchewan 100 years ago.
What the students came up with was very impressive, Machnee said. Projects included everything from making butter to sewing clothes. Some made tools and benches. Others made candles and one student made a bench.
