A couple of break-ins in Buchanan recently have the Canora RCMP investigating.
           On February 15, at about 12:30 a.m. the RCMP responded to an alarm at the Buchanan co-op store. Upon arrival, members observed damage to the front door, states an RCMP release. From the evidence it is suspected that at least two individuals were involved. The main items stolen were cigarettes and liquor.
           It is believed that the suspect parked south east of the Co-op store and walked to the front entrance, the release said.
           Between February 19 at 8 p.m. and February 20 at 8 a.m., several items were stolen from JC Café which is located inside the Buchanan Skating Rink. Among the items stolen were: a laptop computer, jewelry, cosmetic products and several pieces of NHL and CFL merchandise.
           The RCMP release states that it is not believed that the two incidents are related. The RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance. Anyone with any information can contact the Canora RCMP or, if wanting to remain anonymous, call Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
