RCMP and searchers at Lake Diefenbaker have located the body of the missing adult male who had gone missing on Saturday, July 29.
Police and search-and-rescue teams scoured the area of the lake approximately 40 km southeast of Outlook after the man ended up in the water while operating a boat. Â Another passenger, an adult female, attempted to rescue him but was unsuccessful. Â She was uninjured.
The RCMP continued their search efforts for over a week, with assistance from Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management and Outlook Fire and Rescue. Â The RCMP's Underwater Recovery Team (URT) was also used in the search.
He was found on Sunday, August 6 at approximately 5:00 pm by police, family and searchers at the lake near the area where he was last seen. Â The deceased will not be identified.
