Bear sighted near White City

RCMP ask the public to use caution when out walking or outdoors.

Although bear sightings are unusual, they have been spotted in southern Saskatchewan. Here is a file photo of a bear taken in the southeast area of the province.

WHITE CITY — White Butte RCMP are asking the public to be aware a bear was seen Friday evening in the community of White City.

The last known sighting was on the south end of the community near White City Drive and Sarah's Cove, say RCMP, who ask the public to use caution when out walking or outdoors.

RCMP say the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment is aware of the sighting.
