The long term care residents of the Preeceville and District Health Centre have had a busy few months with numerous activities and family visits, according to the Centre’s newsletter.

July kicked off with a Canada Day celebration followed by entertainment. The residents and staff welcomed the volunteers who helped prepare, purchase and put the finishing touches on the new outdoor patio gazebo on July 9.  The residents are also enjoying the raised garden boxes that allow the residents to get outside and put their gardening skills to the test.

Residents are scheduled to attend Western Weekend to watch the chuckwagon races. Another outing is scheduled later in the month to Lomond Lake.

Regular activities include group exercises, walking, bean bag toss, foot spa, card games, bingo games, discussion groups and Bible studies.

The Preeceville and District Ministerial Association hosts weekly church service with different churches in the Association.

Entertainment for the month was supplied by Mike Lazaruk and company.

Members of the Assiniboine Beef and Multi 4-H Club are scheduled to visit with residents later in the month.

The monthly birthday party was hosted by the Sunshine women’s group.
