Update: 18 year old charged after firing BB gun in school lot

The suspect fled and was taken into custody with the help of the Corman Park Police Service.

It was reported to police that a male suspect was in possession of what has been determined to be a replica BB gun.

SASKATOON - An 18-year-old male who fired a BB gun at three people, injuring one, in a Saskatoon school parking lot has been charged.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. May 31, police were called to the school in the 200 block of Primrose Drive. It was reported that a male suspect was in possession of what has been determined to be a replica BB gun. He was reported to have fired the gun at three other males, striking one of them. The male received a physical injury.

Police say the male suspect then fled the scene and was taken into custody shortly after in the 200 block of Broadbent Avenue with the help of the Corman Park Police Service.

The suspect is now facing five Criminal Code charges including; possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, and causing bodily harm with intent (air gun or pistol) and two counts of assault with a weapon.
