It was news that most would have anticipated coming, as the Yorkton Exhibition Association announced today that the 2020 Summer Fair and Outdoor Rodeo has been cancelled.
The Board of Directors of YEA made the decision after 鈥渕uch discussion and review of government guidelines.鈥�
The cancellation came down to a matter of public safety.
鈥淒uring this time of uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the health of everyone involved with an event of this size must and always will be paramount,鈥� noted the release.
The YEA also noted they look forward to returning in 2021 with a summer fair that is 鈥渂igger and better than ever.鈥�
