The Yorkton Brick Flour Mill Heritage Society has just been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation.
鈥淭he grant is based on the Society raising an equal amount in the community, and we are very pleased to receive this support from the Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation,鈥� said Society President Vern Brown. 鈥淲e will be using this funding to install a structural beam with supports, door opening upgrades, some window replacements and painting trim on the building this year,鈥� he said.
鈥淎s this is a 50/50 cost shared grant, meaning the society will also have to raise $20,000, we are welcoming donations to the project from the public,鈥� he said.
