The big rigs and fancy trucks were on display at the Yorkton Regional High School parking lot today.
The show of trucks was out together as a Cancer Society of Saskatchewan fundraiser, said organizer Darren Popowich.
Popowich said he took the initiative because he has known too many people who have had to battle cancer, “including my mom.â€
“So I thought I would help out.â€
The event is a first effort, one that was not quite as big as expected as rain early Saturday kept some home, but Popowich is already planning a second, bigger event in August, where fundraising option will include not only a barbecue, but a bouncy castle, face painting and similar attractions.
