Shoppers Drug Mart鈥檚 Shoppers Love You campaign picks a women鈥檚 based charity to support, and they picked the Yorkton Family Resource Centre because they advocate for women and their health and well-being. Customers buy cards of different value, and all money raised goes to a local organization. Shoppers Drug Mart also hosts cosmetic and beauty galas, which also supports the FRC.
Last year, the support of the pharmacy went to a massage chair, which helped new moms while they are doing education programs and other groups, such as the postpartum depression group. This year, the funds will go to self-awareness workshops, a new program at the FRC, to help with mental health. The FRC also provides child care during these programs.
