RCMP have received a telephone fraud complaint regarding a subject stating that he was a representative of the Justice Department of the RCMP. The complainant was aware that the Canadian Revenue Agency doesn’t call people directly and immediately suspected a fraud. The complainant did not provide any further information to the subject. The complainant advised he could also hear numerous other subjects talking in the background, somewhat like a call center. Other support services in the Detachment had received similar calls within the last hour. Fraud awareness - Be vigilant and do not provide any personal or banking information to any unknown persons.
