In an announcement on March 16 at 8:30 p.m., Parkland College announced that all in-person classes would be suspended at the college.
In the release, the College announced that in partnership with the province鈥檚 other post-secondary educational institutions, Saskatchewan Regional Colleges are suspending all classes and programming for the remainder of this week.
鈥淲e appreciate that this is challenging time for students, faculty, and staff,鈥 said Dr. Mark Hoddenbagh, Parkland College President & CEO. 鈥淥ur management team is working with public health officials and our partners to best address the situation. Our focus is on the health and safety of our entire campus community. This is a rapidly evolving situation, and we will continue to share information as soon as it becomes available.鈥
However, in the same release, the college said that they will transition to online and other alternate models of program delivery where possible. Students will receive an email to discuss the alternate delivery of programming, and that will begin on March 23.
Campuses will not be closing, however services will be limited.
