Last year, Tim Hortons庐 restaurant owners and guests across the country raised a record $9.8 million to support local charities through their annual Smile Cookie campaign. Back again for its 24th year, Tim Hortons Smile Cookie week will support charities in communities across the country, including the Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer 鈥 Local Cancer Initiatives Program in Yorkton 鈥 one of 550 Canadian charities, hospitals and community programs supported through the annual campaign.
For one week, from September 14 鈥 20, restaurant owners will donate the full $1 from every freshly baked chocolate chunk Smile Cookie purchased to support charities in their community. Guests can complete a form to place pre-orders for Smile Cookies through either restaurant in Yorkton.
This year, Tim Hortons restaurants in Yorkton are supporting the Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer 鈥 Local Cancer Initiatives Program.聽 This program is a subsidiary fundraiser aside from the annual headshaving event which funds cancer research.聽 It aims to enrich the lives of local cancer patients and their families by supporting any cancer-related fundraising initiatives of The Health Foundation in Yorkton, along with funding one-night stays at the Regina Cancer Patient Lodge, funding one-week stays at Ronald McDonald House in Saskatoon, supporting Camp Circle O鈥橣riends, and providing chemo-accessible port shirts and trophies for each pediatric oncology patient in Saskatchewan through our Cancer Champions program.

In 2019, the Smile Cookie campaign raised a record $9.8 million across Canada.聽The Smile Cookie campaign began in 1996 to help raise funds for the Hamilton Children鈥檚 Hospital in Ontario.
