There will be no need for local voters to mark ‘Xs’ on ballots for school board trustees.
With the closure of nominations Wednesday for both Christ the Teacher Catholic School Division and Good Spirit School Division the positions were filled by acclamation, with only the number of people needed to fill positions filing papers.
In Christ the Teacher Catholic School Division Patricia Zarkski, Jerome Niezgoda and Doreen Rathgeber will take seats as trustees.
In Good Spirit School Division the positions will be filled by Steve Variyan, Jan Morrison and Gordon Gendur.
As a result of the acclamations Public Notice was sent out that  in accordance with sections 77 and 82 of The Local Government Elections Act, 2015, the number of candidates for the for the two school divisions is equal to that of the number of vacancies, and therefore, a poll is not required.
