There鈥檚 nothing more important than family to the team at Zapshalla Rusnak Financial Services.
So much has changed since early March. When the social distancing rules were first put into place, many turned to social media, online chat groups and video conferencing to keep in touch with their loved ones.
鈥淭echnology has become a lifeline for us during this time,鈥 says Barry Zapshalla. 鈥淲e know how lucky we are to be able to video chat with our loved ones and continue to maintain our relationships with customers but, we know not everyone is so lucky.鈥
When Zapshalla, his partners Jake Zapshalla and Todd Rusnak heard the residents ofLakeside ManorCare Home in Saltcoats, were restricted to the facility without a way to connect to family, they knew they could help donating iPads to the care home.
鈥淚t鈥檚 been huge for our residents some of them haven鈥檛 seen their families since Christmas,鈥 says Lakeside Manor鈥檚 activity director Jamie Zulyniak.
鈥淚鈥檝e seen tears, huge smiles, their eyes just light up when they see their loved ones. Some familywho used to visit daily who haven鈥檛 been able to come into Lakeside Manor since this all started.Being able to connect them through these iPads has been an amazing gift.鈥
With so many businesses steppingup to help right across the country, the Zapshalla Rusnak Financial team is proud to give back locally.
鈥淎 donation like this in a small communitycan make a big difference,鈥 says Zapshalla. 鈥淲e work and live in this community and it鈥檚 important to give back to the people who鈥檝e given us so much over the years.鈥
