The Kinsmen Club of Yorkton will celebrate 75 years in 2020 along with Kin Canada celebrating 100 years as an all Canadian Service organization.
The club will be granting $100 upto 100 classes or youth organizations for a total of $10,000. This $100 will serve as start up money for a project. It may mean they buy $100 worth of groceries to hold a bake sale to further advance more funding to worthwhile causes, they may purchase paint to spruce up a local park, buy seedlings to plant, or whatever ideas the youth can dream up. The ideas are limitless.
The Kinsmen and Kinettes motto of "Serving the Community's Greatest Need" has spurred the local Yorkton Kinsmen to look to fund 100 service projects in the City of Yorkton that will help our community. Further we hope that this initiative will help students learn the values of giving back to the community. We hope that with the initial seed investment, these kids can learn the value of giving back to the community or help provide them with ideas and plans to help generate funding required to meet their overall goals.
Applications for the $100 grant money can be found on the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton facebook page or by contacting [email protected].
