Fundraising for the grandstand replacement at the Yorkton Exhibition grounds continues.聽
And聽today聽it was given a boost as the Yorkton Tribal Council (YTC), made a presentation of $25,000.聽
Tribal Chief Isabel O鈥橲oup said the grandstand was a good聽project to support because it is a facility 鈥渢hat brings people together.鈥� She said building community is important and the grandstand is part of that.聽
Barb Woytas with the Yorkton Exhibition Association said they were of course pleased by the contribution.聽
鈥淲e鈥檙e very fortunate to have partnered with YTC,鈥� she said.聽
The first event in front of the Legacy Co-op Grandstand will be the Eastern Professional Chariot & Chuckwagon Association races this weekend.
