It has come to the RCMP's attention that a fake Yorkton RCMP Facebook account has been created.
The account has been set up as a personal page rather than a business or organizational page.
The RCMP are currently looking into this matter and are taking steps to have the account removed.
If you receive a friend request from any accounts that do not appear to be legitimate RCMP accounts, please do not accept or engage with them. We also recommend that any imitation accounts be reported immediately and directly to Facebook.
It is important to the RCMP that any public safety and/or police-related information that reaches the public come from an official source. Please note that our account (@YorktonRCMP) is the official Yorkton RCMP Facebook page.
