YORKTON - The Parlour Barber Shop in Yorkton was the locale of another session of live music.
The shop -- already host to a handful of shows -- continued along that effort Sunday, with a performance by Saskatchewan musician Belle Plaine.
A barber shop might not seem like a music venue but it intrigued Belle Plaine.
“I've done a lot of house concerts over the years and this isn't so different,” she told Yorkton This Week in a preview interview.
The venue certainly has the performer up close with the audience, but Belle Plaine said that is fine with her.
“I'm comfortable in most settings singing because singing is what brings me comfort,” she said, adding she has been dreaming of a quaint show at Parlour Barbershop for several months now.
The show had Belle Plaine performing with Bryn Besse.
