It was cold outside, but that did not stop an author presentation at the Yorkton Public Library this evening (Wednesday).
Kendra Weenie a Cree woman from Sweetgrass First Nation. She grew up single-parented, on welfare, with minimal opportunity for success.
From her experiences she wrote the book a book ‘Surviving Domestic Violence’ from which she shared readings and material.
