Chief Gabriel Cote students bring presents to Eaglestone Lodge

KAMSACK — Students from the Wellness 10 class at Chief Gabriel Cote Education Complex, with the festive spirit in their hearts, visited the Eaglestone Lodge to deliver some Christmas cards, decorations, and an impromptu Christmas Carol to the residents of Eaglestone.

On Dec. 15 the students and their teacher, Janet Love Morrison, visited Eaglestone with handmade cards in hand and various decorations to hand out to the residents.

Morrison wanted to surprise the residents, so she got her class to sing, We Wish You a Merry Christmas. To her own surprise, the residents sang it back afterward, thanking the school group for the time spent.

One of the residents, Sylvia Graaff said, “I love the fact that those young people are bringing stuff in to the seniors and it's teaching them all to care for other people.”
