On September 15, organizers of Telemiracle launched a sevenmonth campaign called MyTelemiracleStory.com to collect stories and memories about Telemiracle from the people of Saskatchewan. Telemiracle has become a fixture in Saskatchewan and this March we will mark the 40th airing of the annual telethon.
鈥淚t is hard to go anywhere in Saskatchewan without hearing a story or memory somebody has about Telemiracle,鈥 remarked Jody Diakow, executive director for the Kinsmen Foundation, which organizes the annual telethon. 鈥淲e want to get those stories all in one place and share them with everyone.鈥
The website, was created to collect stories between now and Telemiracle 40 which will be held in Regina, March 5 and 6. Individuals can submit their story using several methods.
The two most popular are the online submission form and by video. After the telethon in March, all the stories will be migrated to Telemiracle鈥檚 main web portal, telemiracle.com.
The Kinsmen Foundation
The Kinsmen Foundation makes miracles by providing Saskatchewan people and organizations with special needs equipment and access to medical assistance. Through Telemiracle dollars, the Kinsmen Foundation is able to gift things such as mobility equipment, travel costs to get to medical facilities, community vans, and equipment in hospitals and health centres.
The next Telemiracle will be held on March 5 and 6, 2016, broadcasting on the CTV network throughout Saskatchewan.
