Throughout its existence, the Outlook Wildlife Federation (OWF) has routinely put money back into wildlife and conservation programs that are near and dear to the hearts of its members, and now the organization has been recognized for those efforts.
The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation recently bestowed OWF with an award recognizing the organization for its fundraising initiatives, presenting Outlook with a plaque that recognizes OWF’s cumulative donations of over $70,000 that have gone into the Habitat Trust Fund.
As far as the Outlook Wildlife Federation is concerned, it’s money well spent if it means continued health and prosperity for wildlife, habitat and conservation programs.
Speaking of funds, OWF’s annual dinner and banquet evening turned out to be a rousing success, with around 250 people filling up the Outlook Civic Centre. After expenses, the banquet managed to raise approximately $6,000, funds which will go back into the organization such as OWF’s archery range, gun range, and also help with sponsorship opportunities, such as sending kids to go to camp.
Next year will see the Outlook Wildlife Federation host their 50th fundraising banquet, and it remains to be seen what big plans the organization may have in store to mark the occasion.
