Outlook Rec Board Holding Online Contest

Prizes to be awarded for best photos

If you’re planning on grabbing a stick and going out to play some road hockey within the next few weeks, you may want to learn about an online contest organized by the Town of Outlook’s Recreation Board.

After some door prizes were left over from the Sask in Motion symposium held on November 28, Rec Director Jordy Jones wanted to come up with a creative way to distribute them among people in the community, and he began thinking about how little we see outdoor hockey being played anymore.  With that, Jones came up with a contest that improves physical literacy, encourages a healthy and active lifestyle, and gets people out into their community.

To enter the contest, head to the Town of Outlook Recreation Board’s Facebook page located at Facebook.com/OutlookRecBoard and tag the page in a photo of you, your family or friends playing road hockey, pond hockey or backyard hockey.

The photo must have been taken between December 1 and December 31 of this year.

The contest closes on January 1 at 2:00 pm.  Three prizes will be given in the following categories:

  1. Best Photo
  2. Best Group Photo
  3. Winner of a draw from all entries

The Board encourages people to get out and enjoy the winter season, but also to use caution and safe practices while participating in all forms of hockey.
