The Broderick Garden Centre in Outlook decided to give back to a worthwhile cause last week when the Garden Centre’s Kim Olson (right) presented Tony Peter of the Swimming Pool Fundraising Committee with two cheques for the new aquatic facility, which has proven to be a hit since opening on July 1. The first cheque, profits from a ‘One of a Kind’ spring market held in June, was for $720.00. The second cheque was for an astounding $6,281.49, with the business donating back the costs of everything that the Broderick Garden Centre provided to the new pool, including trees, shrubs, mulch, and drip irrigation. Just another prime example of a trusted local business giving generously to a new community attraction that will hopefully continue to be a hit for generations!
