Join us at Yorkton Public Library all summer for fun children鈥檚 programs. Td Summer Reading Club - Children of all ages are welcome to join our Summer Reading Club. Each child gets a booklet to keep track of books that have been read. Collect stickers and prizes all summer long for your reading! Activity Days (July 3 鈥 Aug. 22) (Must pre-register in person for activity days -听 spaces are limited) 2-3:30 p.m. Mondays, ages 10-12 years; Tuesdays, ages 6-9 years; Movie Days (July 5 - Aug.23); Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. Free popcorn & juice. Local Artists Exhibition - June 4 to 30. Landscape & Memory features over 60 artists of all ages with 200 works of art! When this exhibition started 10 years ago we knew it was important to showcase local talent, but we had no idea there was this much creativity to share. The York Colony Quilter鈥檚 Guild meets every Wed. at 9:30 a.m. at the Western Development Museum. Experienced and novice sewers are welcome. There are group activities and classes to learn new techniques, as well as work on charity projects. Come and check us out to enjoy some stitching time with a welcoming group.

Volunteers Needed! The Canadian Red Cross is seeking volunteers for the Friendly Visiting Program for Seniors. Volunteers will be trained to provide weekly visits or phone calls to socially or geographically isolated seniors in Yorkton and surrounding area. One hour every other week is all that is required to provide social interaction with a senior听 and peace of mind for family and caregivers.
