July 4, 1961, Toronto, Ontario  August 4, 2015, Calgary, Alberta. It is with deep sadness we announce that Tracy Statchuk of Calgary, passed away on August 4, 2015 at the age of 54 years. Tracy was born in Toronto, however he moved with his family to Saskatchewan in 1962. He graduated high school in Buchanan before attending the University of Regina for Engineering and SAIT for Structural Engineering. Buchanan was home until 1991 when

Tracy moved to Calgary to work as a general contractor specializing in steel buildings. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was involved with a number of charities and enjoyed travelling when he could find the time.

Tracy is survived by his mother Anne Statchuk, his sister Rosanne and her husband Donald Brezinski, his brother Curt and his wife Adele Statchuk and his brother Jeremy Statchuk, five nieces and nephews Jesse Brezinski, Rylan Brezinski and his wife Toni, Haley Brezinski and her fiancé Dan Gignac, Brandyn Statchuk and his girlfriend Jill and Reid Statchuk. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Tracy was predeceased by his father Robert.

A Graveside Service will be held at Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Buchanan, SK on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Donations in memory of Tracy will be greatly accepted towards the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
