INVERMAY - The Invermay Golden Age Club hosted 2023 Canada Day celebrations for the community.
Mike Kaminski, brought greetings on behalf of the Invermay and the seniors. Greetings from the RCMP were relayed by Sergeant Brovwer.
The theme for this celebration was, "This is my Prairie ..... This is My Home,” paying tribute to the memories of community pioneers and their lifestyles.
After lunch, Steve and Lena Potorieko cut the Canada Day cake. Sandie Solonenko provided the musical entertainment and led the singing of songs featuring country life.
The event was sponsored by Heritage Canada, the Golden Age Club, the Village of Invermay, the RM of Invermay and Parkland Valley SCR. The celebration concluded with the awarding of door prizes.
