Canora students perform well in badminton playdowns

In pre-conference badminton competition at Canora Composite School on April 17, a total of nine CCS athletes advanced to conferences on April 18, also held in Canora.

CANORA - In pre-conference badminton competition at Canora Composite School on April 17, a total of nine CCS athletes advanced to conferences on April 18, also held in Canora, reported Hannah Maurer, coach.

Those advancing were: Sofia Tratch (girls singles), Makayla Heshka and Jessee Kopelchuk (girls doubles), Jada Nordin and Noah Prychak (mixed doubles), Nate Wolos and Toby Olynyk (boys doubles), and Porter Wolkowski and Briel Beblow (boys doubles). 

Heshka and Kopelchuk (girls doubles) and Wolos and Olynyk (boys doubles) found success for the second day in a row at conferences, qualifying for districts in Yorkton on April 24.
