Perepiolkin tops super league curling after Canora draw

CANORA — The Fred Perepiolkin team, sponsored by Nykolaishen Farms, remain undefeated after the fourth draw of the Duck Mountain Super League played December 14 in Canora.

Perepiolkin defeated Tyson Leis, also of Kamsack, in a very close game. The Leis team, now standing with one win and three losses, is sponsored by Pattison Ag.

In other Canora action, Bob Kolodziejski, sponsored by Pioneer Hybrid, gave Ken Newell of Norquay a game to remember. It was Kolodziejski’s first win of the season. Newell, sponsored by Challoner Farms, now has two wins and two losses.

The Benito team skipped by Rick Kinaschuk and sponsored by W. F. Schneider and Son showed no mercy against Brent Scales of Swan River, ending the contest after six ends. Both teams now have one loss and two victories.

Duck Mountain Super League curling shifts to Norquay for draws five and six to be played December 21 and 28. After that the men move to Benito for their final regular season draw set for January 4.

All games start at 7:30 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend.
